When In Doubt, Quote Erma Bombeck….
“There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humor and hurt.” – Erma Bombeck
Thanks to a pain in my neck and a physical therapist with a sadistic streak (she seemed so sweet at first) there hasn’t been much that’s made me snicker lately, but I did chuckle when I read a friend’s post today, so rather than bitch and whine about my maladies, I thought I’d share Rob’s work instead:
Chewing Glass » An Open Letter to the Johnson & Johnson Company.
Okay, and I guess one short anecdote: while I was at the doctor this morning, he commended me on an impressive drop in my total cholesterol numbers since this time last year. He inquired as to what I’ve been doing? I fought the urge to respond: I’ve been trying to avoid fried foods and significantly increased my vodka consumption. Since I had a busy schedule today and didn’t want to have to also squeeze in a visit to detox, all I said was, “just trying to watch what I eat.”

“Wodka” makes the world go round. Drink too much of it, and your head will be spinning!
Makes a great marinade too!
“Alcohol is a way of life. It’s my way of life, and I intend to keep it!” ~Homer Simpson
I’ve always respected Homer, he’s so wise!
